Our target date for full face-to-face instruction was previously designated as Monday, February 15th. Unfortunately, we are not going to be able to meet that deadline; furniture that we had hoped would arrive to allow for as much social distancing as possible has not arrived yet.
Our new target date is Monday, February 22nd. Below are some guidelines to help you navigate the next couple of weeks.
Next week February 8th-12th, will be a “hybrid” week Monday and Tuesday will be the Cardinal Cohort and Wednesday and Thursday will be the Gold Cohort, with Friday being our virtual day for all students K-12. The following week will result in some changes to allow our teachers to prepare for full face to face instruction.
The Enhancement Center will be open on February 17th and 18th at the Middle School for students in 3rd-5th grades. Daycare will be provided as normal on Wednesday for all students who attend daycare. The Daycare will also be open on February 18th and 19th, free of charge. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any questions or need daycare on those days.
Preschool and ECSE will remain open on February 15th, 16th, 17th, and 18th.
We apologize for the changing schedules. We realize this can be very taxing on families. The safety of our students and staff is of paramount importance.
We ask that you give us patience and grace as we make necessary adjustments to the schedule in preparation for full face-to-face in the Primary and Middle Schools on February 22nd. These changes will allow our teachers time to prepare their classrooms to accommodate more students in a safe manner.
The week of February 22nd, the district will follow the district calendar with conferences for MS and HS being February 25th and 26th. The Primary school will have a full day of instruction on February 25th and a half day of instruction on February 26th. The Primary school conferences are postponed until April 14th.
We appreciate your flexibility, understanding, and support. Please know that we value your partnership as we move forth in meeting the needs of our G-A students.
