Food Distribution Update 4/6
Food Distribution for the Week of April 6th - April 10th
This week we will distribute meals on Monday & Wednesday ONLY and will provide multiple days’ worth of both lunch and breakfast on those three days. A decision has not been made yet for the following weeks. We will post the information as soon as it is available.
There will be two ways families can get both breakfast and lunch to-go-bags.
Starting at 10:00 a.m., our buses will complete their normal morning bus runs. While we cannot tell you the exact times the bus will come to your child’s bus stop, they will follow their normal routes which will start at 10:00 and conclude at approximately 11:30 a.m. Either the student or parent/guardian can be waiting at the bus stop.
We have a few additional protocols in place to ensure that our students, the public, our staff and volunteers maintain the social distancing and other CDC guidelines for keeping all of us safe.
To that end you will notice two differences when the bus comes to your bus stop:
- You will see either the driver or volunteer holding up their paddle that says "6 feet please". That will serve as a reminder to both our families and our staff to keep that safe distance.
- You will also see that our volunteers are placing the lunches in a plastic tote and setting the tote on the ground. They will step back and families can take their lunch bags. Again, we look forward to seeing our students as much as they do us. That part hasn't changed. We simply want to make sure we are doing all we can to minimize exposure as the CDC recommends.
We will also have two (2) pick up sites: G-A Primary School and the Augusta Academy from 11:30AM - 12:30PM. Food will be available at the entrance of the Primary, and there will be a school bus at the Augusta Academy.
