Degrees and Certifications:
Mrs. Amanda Brincks
Co-Class Advisor of the Class of 2020
Varsity Sideline Cheer Coach
I first earned my Associate's in Arts from Southwestern Michigan College. Then, I transferred to Central Michigan University where I finished my Bachelor's of Science in Spanish and English.
Currently, I'm in my eighth year of teaching at Galesburg-Augusta High School. I have taught Spanish I (Beginning Language), Spanish II (Developing Language) and Theatre. This year, eighth-graders will have the opportunity to earn credit for high school Spanish 1.
Also, I am a Co-Class Advisor with Mrs. Erica Cataldo for the graduating Class of 2020.
Originally from Sawyer, Michigan, I was born and raised in Southwest Michigan my whole life. I grew up in a small community and participated in a lot of activities with my high school, River Valley Middle/High School. After high school, I graduated from Southwestern Michigan College and then from Central Michigan University. Fire up Chips! I have lived abroad in Queretaro, Mexico for one semester.
I love crafts. I enjoy taking an ordinary object and re-fashioning it in a different, useful way. I have made display racks out of picture frames and even reupholstered sitting chairs. Besides crafting I love the performing arts such as singing, dancing (which comes in handy when learning Hispanic cultural dances), and making artwork. I also highly enjoy cooking and baking; which is why I love watching the Food Network Channel. My husband and I also have a furbaby named Pepper (Potts). She is a Russian Blue mix and our resident bug hunter.
